The first week was very tough. I found myself crying when I woke up on my second day in America and the next days after that. I guess, it finally dawned on me I am away from home: where I grew up my entire life. I miss everything from food to noise to malls to jeepneys (mode of transportation in the Philippines) and especially my family and friends.
